Dick Pearson has often been called "The Thinking Man's Muskie Fisherman." For more than three decades Dick has used an inquisitive and creative mind, legendary persistence and a cheerful disregard for conventional wisdom to develop techniques and theories that have revolutionized the way we think about muskies (and pike!).

Muskies on the Shield explores in detail how to plan and research trips, identify and fish key structures, recognize seasonal patterns ands select techniques for a variety of lake types and conditions.

From the clear, cold and notoriously difficult trout waters to the dark fertile waters of Lake of the Woods, Muskies on the Shield is the most comprehensive text on muskie fishing on the Canadian Shield ever assembled.
