The JBL ProFlora CO2 pH Sensor Set has been designed for use with the JBL ProFlora CO2 Control. The JBL pH Electrode comes complete with the liquids for easy calibration and storage of the pH sensor. Easily connect the pH electrode via the BNC connection to the respective measuring and control device for accurate digital readings regarding pH levels in the aquarium. Each electrode has been individually tested and documented for reliability and will need to be replaced after around 2 years. The sensor comes supplied with a large protective cap filled with storage solution.

Every 30-45 days the pH electrode needs to be calibrated so that it continues to show accurate values. During calibration, the functionality of the electrode is also checked so that you know when a new electrode is required. The pH electrodes do not like the addition of medication in the water and should ideally be placed in a glass of aquarium water during treatment. pH electrodes should not be stored in distilled water but in a potassium chloride solution.

When positioning the pH electrode in the aquarium, attach the pH electrode using the enclosed suction cups preferably in a dark area within the aquarium with very little current. This is because electrodes can easily become algae-ridden in very bright locations.
